![]() ![]() Nazia Mohammad is an Edinburgh-based artist who is currently interested in creating through her work a reductive language using materials, shapes and sounds which touch on Sufi concepts such as the divine feminine and a higher self. Her recent projects include go to reception and ask for Sara in red felt tip, a response to the history and function of the Women’s Art Library and Common Rest, a multimedia, collaborative work consisting of a 10-inch vinyl with an accompanying book of poems, in which ideas associated with lullabies form the basis for improvisation.
